THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Director of Technology Teams, you will be tasked with overseeing the deliverables and process workflows of our teams, with a focus on continuous improvement. Your role will involve recommending enhancements to tools, methods, systems, and processes to optimize engineering value and drive efficiencies within the Technology Teams.

Responsibilities also include ensuring that our Technology Teams are appropriately staffed to meet current and future business requirements, particularly in relation to new subscription offerings. Additionally, collaboration with Product Management and Development teams to support future Product Roadmaps will be integral to your position as Director.

As the Director of Technology Teams, you will play a crucial role in building, guiding, mentoring, and providing growth opportunities for our managers and senior managers within the Technology Teams. Your support in this role will enable them to fulfill other strategic roles within the company as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Oversee, monitor, and continuously improve Technology Teams' deliverables and process workflows, ensuring optimization of engineering resources and meeting delivery targets. This includes monitoring capacity levels, evaluating cost optimization opportunities, and ensuring adequate resourcing for new product introductions or enhancements.
  • Optimize the value of engineering by establishing, developing, maintaining, and continually improving processes, systems, and tools. This involves gathering and understanding process and tool requirements, making recommendations for efficiency improvements, and ensuring delivery targets are met with historical analysis and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to support future Product Roadmap discussions, representing the interests of the Technology Teams and facilitating the development of new subscription offerings. This includes working with Business Operations and Planning to allocate resources and develop additional production/optimization metrics for subscription-based products.
  • Build, lead, and manage engineering unit leaders (managers, sr. managers) by communicating strategic objectives, providing clear direction, setting professional development goals, and empowering team members to be self-starting and self-sufficient. This also involves motivating, guiding, and mentoring team members, as well as developing succession plans in advance of retirements or departures.

WHO YOU ARE
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role within a technology-focused organization.
  • Experience in the Semiconductor industry considered a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven experience in optimizing engineering processes and workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments, with experience in managing and mentoring engineering unit leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the capability to evaluate cost optimization opportunities and forecast delivery targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
